Peter comes in from the night, tired, and distraught. He begins to clean his nets, when a man, the one whom he had seen teaching the crowds earlier, stepped onto his boat and called him to go into deeper waters. I can only imagine how Peter felt. He responds, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” (Luke 5:5). He had hit his limit, but the Lord asked him to go deeper. And as Peter went out into deeper waters, despite reaching his personal capacity, his nets overflowed with fish.
Deeper. Capacity. Overflow.
Join us this month as we discuss heading into deeper waters and what God is doing around the world. Also join us for the events of Missions Week, November 12-19.
