Cross Points Church Boxes of Hope

This Christmas season we are teaming up with Shawnee Community Services to bless the poor in our community.  Shawnee Community Services is a local food pantry and free clothing resource, serving the community since 1982. They serve about 400 households a month.  As a church, we have committed to provide “200 Boxes of Hope.” Inside each Box of Hope contains food staples as well as soap and personal hygiene items.  Please join us as we bless the city of Shawnee!  Return your filled boxes to the church by December 18th.

Box of Hope Suggested Contents:

1 Cereal (any variety)
1 Oatmeal (any variety)
1 Hamburger Helper type dinner box
1 Peanut Butter
1 Jelly
4 Cans of Green Beans, Corn, Peas and Carrots (mix or match)
2 Cans of soup
2 Ramen Noodles
2 Cans of baked or pork beans (no garbanzo or lima)
2 Cans of Diced tomatoes or spaghetti sauce
2 cans of applesauce or peaches
1 Pasta (spaghetti)
1 Rice Product
1 Bisquick
Soap
Deodorant
Toilet Paper

Join us for this one-hour service (3:30-4:30 or 5-6 PM) featuring beautiful Christmas hymns, amazing soloists, a traditional advent devotion and is closed with communion and a candle lighting ceremony.
