Adam and Eve’s descendants continued to sin. Generation after generation, the people turned from the Lord. As corruption increased, God determined to flood the earth to rid the world of wickedness, but one man, Noah “found favor in God’s eyes.” Noah obeyed the Lord’s instruction and, in faith, built an ark before even one rain drop hit the ground. Noah and his family were saved from the floods, along with two of every animal that roamed the earth. God promised never to flood the earth again, and began a new chapter in the story of His people with a man named Abram.
