Old Shawnee Days 2015

Old_Shawnee_Days_3Old Shawnee Days is coming soon, June 4-7 to be exact. Old Shawnee Days is a four day festival that involves food, concerts, roller coasters and more. Cross Points church is going to be there and we need your help in two ways.

1. We want you to walk in the parade with us Saturday, June 6! We want the whole church to come out.

2. We need you to volunteer in our booth. We are having a booth open Friday through Sunday. At the booth we are serving free snow cones! We need your help to do that. Please click on the link below and look at the schedule. Find a couple time slots you can serve and email Kyle, kyler@crosspointschurch.com, and tell him when you can volunteer. Sign up to be a greeter or a person who gets ice for the snow cones.

Parenting the Love and Logic Way

Love and Logic BannerLove and Logic is a philosophy of raising and teaching children which allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in the interactions with children. Love allows children to grow through their mistakes. Logic allows children to live with the consequences of their choices. Love and Logic is a way of working with children that puts parents back in control, teaches children to be responsible, and prepares young people to live in the real world, with its many choices and consequences.

Cross Points Church is excited to host Parenting the Love and Logic Way seminar on Saturday, February 28. Your fee of $45/person or $55/couple covers this all day seminar featuring a trained Love and Logic presenter, materials, childcare and lunch.

To register, fill out the form below.

Why does the love and logic philosophy work?
• Uses humor, hope, and empathy to build up the adult-child relationship
• Emphasizes respect and dignity both for children and adults
• Provides real limits in a loving way
• Teaches consequences and healthy decision making

This parenting program is designed to give you practical skills that can be used immediately!

Reach

Join us this January 2015 as we re-focus our attention on God’s favor and reflect on the grace He gives to “Reach Up”

Grace is getting what we don’t deserve.

There is something about the reach of God’s grace that is immediately thrilling.  It is thrilling because there is an instant awareness that all sins are forgiven and all stains cleansed.  Our debt’s are cancelled and sins remembered no more.   When we realize we’ve been given something we don’t deserve; praise bursts forth.  As a result, God receives more glory!

The reach of God’s grace is potent and powerful. Without His grace our reach toward Him would’t be enough. In fact it’s His grace that enables us to reach up to Him.

As God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.  2 Corinthians 4:15

DevotionalsPsalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Did you know that Cross Points sends out daily devotions Tuesday through Saturday? We believe it is important to be in God’s word often. It is of great benefit to be able to read the same scriptures as the rest of the church. We get to share in the reading of God’s word.

Each devotional includes a worship song, a section of scripture, and a commentary by Pastor David, Pastor Andy, and Pastor Matt.

How do you receive the devotions?

The devotions are available through our website, email, and on YouVersion Bible App. This is for your convenience.
